Caught by surprise.
David and Elaine are a really nice couple from the UK, but living in Australia who had their Whistler elopement wedding at the Nita Lake Lodge here in Whistler.
It was a really small wedding with friend and family from all over the world. I’ve done a few weddings on this patio outs the Nita Lake Lodge’s Cure restaurant and it’s such a nice location.
There was this cool looking red lounge piece on the patio that I thought would really make for some nice photos.
The Nita Lake Lodge has it’s own private dock which is a great location for photos.
I love the old railway station next door to the Nita Lake Lodge. One of my favourite Whistler photo locations.
For the first photo on the blog, it was kind of a found image. There’s another public access dock on Nita Lake that’s a good spot to shoot the Nita lake Lodge’s private dock from. I was walking back to the first dock after getting a few shots when I spotted the view of the bridal party through the trees. I stopped and started firing off some frames. They heard me and I got a nice sequence of each of them realizing I was taking their photo.
