Alexandra and Jonathan got a beautiful day for their Whistler elopement wedding on Blackcomb mountain.
Since the chairlifts on the Blackcomb side were closed for the season, we had to ride up on the Whistler gondola, and then ride across to Blackcomb on the Peak2Peak gondola. It was kind of a shlep, also a really beautiful trip over.
My wife and I were hiking on Blackcomb a few year ago, and we came across this spot on the what, in the winter, is the cat track to the 7th Heaven chairlift. It occurred to me that it would make a nice, private location for a wedding. When Alexandra asked for a more private location with a great view, I suggested the location, and I think it worked out pretty well.
We had a great time hiking around on Blackcomb shooting the bridal portraits.
We stopped off for some photos by Nicklaus North, we got this playful image.
