Megan and Peter had a great wedding at the Cedar View Estate in Pemberton. They were super laid back, and I had a great time with them. I don’t get up to the Pemberton area that often, but I do real enjoy shooting Weddings there. I hope I get to do way more Pemberton weddings in the future.
A trio of laid back and beautiful bride’s maids.
Mount Currie makes for a spectacular backdrop for Pemberton weddings.
I had never been to the Cedar View Estate before, so I made a date to meet up with Megan and Pete to go over the schedule and have a good walk over the site. We found that there was a big grassy field behind the main garden that had a big path mowed through the centre of it, just the ticket for some portraits. It’s really important to have a really good grasp of the terrain before you get to a location on the wedding day,
I did some shots with my 85mm f/1.8 lens (the second from last where Megan and Pete are walking through the field), which is a new thing for me. The hotshoe on my D700 failed for the second time, and it’s not really worth putting the money into repair it, but the camera itself still works, so I’ve mated the two up together on a permanent basis. I only took 30 or 40 shots, but they turned out really nice.
