Morgan and Jay at the Pan Pacific Whistler
Morgan and Jay came out to Whistler from Fort McMurray, up in the oil fields of Northern Alberta, for a wedding at the Pan Pacific hotel here in Whistler.
It was a pretty relaxed crew, here the bridesmaids get down to some Pharrell.
While the girls were getting Morgan into her dress, I whipped over to Jay’s room and got some quick pics of the guys getting ready. After about ten minutes at their room, I ran back to Morgan’s in time to get this shot of the bridesmaids lacing up Morgan’s dress.
The ring bearer, complete with authentic Brinks strongbox and RCMP radio ear piece.
A light moment during the ceremony.
We all piled down to the Valley Trail boardwalk along the shores of Green Lake, a favourite photo location of mine.
Tech Stuff
Morgan and Jay are my first wedding of what looks like a busy Summer of 2014, but I’ve also had two months off since my last wedding in the winter. When I have big stretches of time between weddings, which is almost every year when we transition from or winter to summer seasons, or vice versa, I make a point of shooting some portraits and personal projects to keep my instincts sharp.
