I spent Monday night covering the 24 Hour Golfathon for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, event at the Nicklaus North golf course here in Whistler. Nicklaus North general manager Mike Zuccolin and manager of golf Andrew Smart decided to golf straight through the night, eventually shooting 294 holes of golf. They lashed some flood lights and generators to the roofs of a couple of golf carts and went at it. Zuccolin and Smart raised over $22,000 for ALS research.
Here’s the Whistler Question Story on the event
Andrew Smart blasts out of a sand trap on the 17th hole, under the flood lights. He shot 66 for the round, at night.
I didn’t want to use flash, as it would have blown out the light from the flood lights, and we would have lost the light in the sky. I pushed up the ISO on the cameras to 6400. It’s a little grainy, but it looks okay.
