I'm a commercial and editorial photographer based in Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler. I’m an expert in Photoshop and Apple Aperture. I’m also an experienced videographer, video editor, and DVD author. Recently, I’ve been teaching myself multimedia, where I combine photos from my assignments, and audio that I gather on site, to make an on-line Flash slide show.

Beginning in community newspapers while still in high school, I eventually became chief photographer for the Whistler Citizen and Squamish Times newspapers. During my two years there, I won four press awards for feature, sports, and spot news photography. Freelancers working under me won two first place press awards for spot news photography. In 1994, I covered the first free elections in South Africa, and spent two years there as a freelance news photographer. Returning to Canada in 1997, I began to work as a commercial photographer in both Whistler and Vancouver. I've also been an instructor in Photo-Journalism at Focal Point, and acted as a judge for the British Columbia and Yukon Newspaper Association Annual Photography Contest.

Recently, I returned to the editorial fold as the first staff photographer for the Squamish based Sea to Sky News. I was responsible for coming up with the specific photographic style for the newspaper. I also designed, and I am currently maintaining the paper’s web page. I also started a program of adding multimedia slide shows to the web page that has been very successful.
